Fraigle; can’t store it on its side. Would have sent it back, but the return was a real pain.

After an item gets 5 stars from 975 reviews, I didn’t even hesitate to buy this scale. Unfortunately fellow Amazon reviewers, I can not agree with anything greater than 2 stars, and I am only giving it that based on the fact that I did nothing more than put the batteries in it. It MAY be the most accurate scale ever for the price, but I just couldn’t get over the lack of heft, the totally generic grey plastic and I am guessing scratch-prone finish. So before you get all crazy with the ‘was this review helpful’ hate, I am just adding my 2 cents for those that prefer something less plastic. I sent it back and had to eat the return shipping because there was no ‘this thing is not worth the price’ option for the return reason.

Update: Looks like the review count is less than a hundred now, and it’s weighing in(rimshot ;-) at 4 and half stars…odd.

The scale did not work when I received it. Installed batteries and got ERR message. Installed different batteries and still ERR message on the display. It’s junk and I returned it.

I bought this product a month ago. I have used it a total of 6-7 times. It is already broken. The weight will not reset to 0 and it is constantly jumping all over the place. Don’t bother. Buy a different one.

This scale is just what I have been looking for. Easy to use, compact, accurate, wide base to accommodate odd shaped food items.
