Works well, but lost it’s calibration after just two years. Expensive for such a short life span

It is not ‘instant read’ but it is quick. And very accurate. I can get a reading in < 4 seconds which is AGES ahead of my old unit. Although I would gladly sacrifice even 1 degree of accuracy (this is far more accurate) for even faster speed.
Pros:
– Fast
– Very accurate
– Very large, easy to read display
Cons:
– Too accurate causing it to be a hair slow. < 2 seconds would be better even if that meant going with 1 degree inaccuracy.
– No backlight making those evening grillings a big of a dance trying to see it with the moonlight.
– No ‘high hold’ feature so you can stick it in, wait a few seconds, pull it out and see it’s highest reading. Would be nice too and make the lack of a backlight less of a problem for dark grilling.
– When I bought it, they only sold RED… I wanted another color…

Great product!
I have had many thermometers before, but this one is accurate, fast and indispensible. Rugged-whithstands drops from work surface. Great feel in the hand. probe is long enough when working with hot ovens or frying situations.

This is a great cooking tool. It’s easy to use and measures temperature instantly — great for breads & cakes as well as meats. I recommend it without reservation.

If you have steaks to cook on the bar-be-que, and each one is to be cooked to a different doneness, this is the tool to have! Recommend it to everyone who cooks outdoors as well as in the kitchen! Expensive, but worth it! No more overcooked meat! YES!
